Thoughts of a middle aged man…..12 February 2013

To say that I was busy today would be an understatement, I had an IGM and an AGM, plus one of my Presiding Officers stopped in for some advice. On the bright side, along with my bosses, I reached a decision today about one of my problem corporations, it is great to get support from the people you work for, something I have not been accustomed to previously.

Tonight I have had a good chat with a friend from over 30 years ago, someone who I shared a house with back in the late 1970s. Annette and I have not seen each other for at least 15 years and we have a lot of catching up to do. Brian and I now have a destination for our next country drive.

Tomorrow is my day off but no sleep in for me, I have to get my car to K-Mart Tyre and Auto in Port Adelaide by 9.00, as the cover on my petrol tank won’t open. While it is probably just a spring it is a tad inconvenient if I need petrol.

Brian has done all the washing as he is still on holidays, so the rest of tomorrow should be relatively quiet and restful, I hope, one never knows in our house, we could finish up doing anything. One thing I have to  say is that our lives may seem dull and domesticated most of the time, but there really is never a dull moment. Some days I question whether that is a good thing or a bad thing, on balance it is a good thing.

Thursday will be another full on day at the office as I already know what will take up most of my time. I have to prepare meeting notices for a Primary and Secondary IGM, as well as the IGM for a new retirement village, not to mention the minutes for tonight’s AGM.

I am getting tired just thinking about it so I am off to bed. Thank you for reading.
