Tonight is usually the night we do our grocery shopping, however after years of shopping Brian and I both knew that tonight would be absolute chaos, so we decided to shop last night. I think everyone in Port Adelaide had the same idea, it was bedlam. Mother’s Day, Xmas Eve, and Easter Thursday, what is it about these three days that bring out the loonies at the shops.
At Norwood today it was bumper to bumper, and that was in the car park, I didn’t think I would get out alive, and I was on foot. Never before have I seen a traffic jam in a supermarket car park.
Cyclists are also on my hit list today, both on the way to work this morning and again on my way home I was held up on the Esplanade by cyclists riding two abreast, one outside of the bike lane, blocking my lane. In both instances I was forced to the other side of the road to get past them, when I find out the contact details for the local cycling club they are going to get a very irate email.
On a happy note, twice over the last two days I have seen what for me is a sign of good fortune, wild white pigeons. I can just feel that something good is coming, I don’t know what but it will happen.
I am really looking forward to this Easter break, Brian and I are expecting a busy one. After the week I have had at work four days off will be bliss. I love my job but this week has been a trial, fortunately there was also a good deal of success.
The eyes are now getting droopy, time for my beauty sleep. I am looking forward to a nice sleep in tomorrow. Goodnight and thank you for reading.
